What’s under the hood?
All trims of the 2021 Nissan Rouge come with a powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, which pairs nicely with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive comes standard, but you do get the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. If you tend to drive in a lot of bad weather, all-wheel-drive is perfect because it will provide you with even more traction.
What are some of the features?
Four trim levels are available for the 2021 Nissan Rogue, and each comes with a ton of features. Starting off the trim lineup is the base S trim, which comes nicely equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a four-speaker audio system. Moving up to the SV brings even more fun features such as a remote engine start, dual-zone automatic climate control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and keyless entry and ignition. A Premium Package for the SV adds a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and heated front seats. Next up is the SL, which comes with heated mirrors with body-colored caps, driver-seat memory settings, leather upholstery, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The SV also has a Premium Package, a navigation system, a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and a ten-speaker Bose audio system. Topping the Nissan Rogue lineup is the Platinum trim, which comes standard with the SV Premium Package, heated rear seats, wireless charging pad, and upgraded leather upholstery.
What can you tell me about the safety features?
Your safety is important to Nissan, and so each trim comes with an impressive amount of safety systems. Standard on the base S is a Forward Collision Mitigation System which will warn you of an impending collision and can even apply the breaks in certain situations. Also standard is a Lane Departure Warning System that will alert you if the Rogue happens to drift outside of its lane. You also get a blind-spot monitor, rear-cross-traffic alert, a rear-passenger safe exit system, and rear automatic braking. Higher-level trims add to this with adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera system, which gives you a top-down view of the SUV and its surroundings to get in and out of tight parking situations.
