2021 Nissan Rogue Power & Handling

All versions of the 2021 Nissan Rouge come with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. The engine is stark and robust and offers you plenty of power to easily get you from place to place. Pairing with this engine is a continuously variable automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive. All-wheel-drive is available on all trims, which should come in handy on those tough weather days. There is a lot to love about this engine, from the impressive power and torque to the amazing all-wheel-drive.

2021 Toyota RAV4 Power & Handling

Like the Rouge, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 comes with one engine. It’s also a four-cylinder engine that pairs with an automatic transmission. Front-wheel-drive is the default setup, but you get the option of four-wheel-drive if you wish. If you want to go with a higher and more expensive trim such as the Adventure or the TRD Off-Road, the all-wheel-drive system comes standard.

Four trims are available for the 2021 Rouge, and even the base level trim comes with a tremendous amount of features. The base trim is the S, which comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, two USB ports, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get several safety systems thanks to Nissan’s Safety Shield, including forward collision mitigation, rear-cross traffic alert, and rear automatic braking. Up next is the SV, which has 18-inch wheels, remote engine start, keyless entry and ignition, a wi-fi hotspot, and dual-zone automatic climate control. There are also several options for the SV, such as a panoramic sunroof, power liftgate, and heated front seats. The Rouge’s luxury version is the SL, which adds heated mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, driver-seat memory settings, a leather upholstery, and a dual-panel cargo floor. Optional is a 9-inch touchscreen and Wireless Apple CarPlay. The highest trim is the Platinum, which has heated rear seats, a wireless charging pad, and a digital instrument panel.

2021 Toyota RAV4 Features & Design

There are two more trim levels available for the 2021 RAV4, but it comes with fewer features. The base-level RAV4 is the LE, which comes with LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The next trim level is the XLE, which comes with keyless entry and ignition, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and additional USB charging ports. There is a premium and luxurious version of the XLE, which adds to the features list with larger wheels, a slightly raised suspension, a sunroof, and a power liftgate. There is an off-road version of the RAV4 known as the TRD Off-road, which comes with fender flairs, hill descent control, trailer roof rails, all-terrain tires, and an off-road-tuned suspension. The Limited is the highest trim level, and it adds chrome exterior trim, heated front seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a navigation system.

Conclusion:

While there is a lot to love about both SUVs, we are going to give the decisive victory to the 2021 Nissan Rogue!
